El Doradillo Beach, located just 20 km from Puerto Madryn, is a privileged spot for whale watching. Every year, mother whales and their calves choose these calm waters to rest and nurture their young. Thanks to the slope of the coast, the whales can stay within 20 to 30 meters of distance, allowing unparalleled sighting without the need to sail.
During the excursion, we will stay on the beach for approximately an hour and a half to two hours, taking advantage of the high tide to possibly see the whales closer. This tour is conducted from June/July to October/November, subject to the presence of the whales.
According to National Geographic, Argentine Patagonia is one of the best places in the world for whale watching. In particular, the area of the Valdés Peninsula, which includes El Doradillo Beach, offers the advantage of short navigations that take the traveler to the center of the gulf to literally join the community of whales.
